Windows 10: Windows Can't Recognize Second Hard Disk After Update 1909

Hi,


I have an urgent matter about this case and search for help here. After I update the Windows to 1909, when restart the Windows can't recognize my second hard disk. I got a lot of work documents in the second drive... Hopefully some expert will give some advice. Thanks!

Windows 10 installation does not recognize second hard drive

From the above description, I understand you are unable to detect the second hard drive on your computer after upgrading to Windows 10.



If your computer was able to recognize the second hard disk before Windows 10 upgrade, there are chances of your current hard disk drives being incompatible with the upgraded operating system.



Update the disk drivers manually from Device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device manager from the context menu.
• Expand Disk drives, right click on the second hard disk and select
  Update driver software from the context menu.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Windows 10 not recognizing my hard disk

Hi Greg,

To help resolve your concern, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
  
• Choose Computer Management.
  
• Double-click on Disk Management.
  
• Check if the hard disk is detected, then proceed on creating the disk volume.

Windows 10 not recognizing second hard drive?

I've put this hard drive in my main computer and it i recognized in the BIOS and as a hidden device under Device Manager. It is not recognized under Disk Manager and does not appear in Windows Explorer?

So, what suggestions does anyone have for straightening this out?

OH, I did get it to make a surprise appearing on a different PC but was unable to access it. This hard drive made that computer run extremely slow.
