Windows 10: Explorer crashes every time I right click an .ISO file

I had some old dvd I turned to ISO files. Some time ago I upgraded to win 10 and hadn't tried to open any .iso files.



Yesterdey, while trying to open an ISO file, as soon as I right clicked it, explorer crashes and restarts. This is happening for any iso file I try right clicking it.



I can open it however, when I double LMB it, express zip opens it and I can extract files from it without any problems. Just not right click it!



What I've tried and it DID NOT help (in that order):

1) sfc scannow

2) disabling ALL non-native context menu with ShellExView



At this point I'm all out of ideas and win reinstall is out of question.Any advice?

File Explorer - Right click and crashing


Hello

Please see my You Tube Demo video - when I right click on a file within File Explorer on Windows 10 it crashes; here is a video demo of the crash - as you can see the Bar down the bottom is disappearing

Please can anyone suggest a fix.

Effective Way to Solve the File Explorer Crashes Issue

You can try the following steps:

1. Tap down the Windows button first to activate the search bar.
2. After that, in the search bar type control, and then click on the top-most search result, that is on Control Panel.
3. Next, in the search bar type file.
4. Now, from the search results click on File Explorer Options.
5. Then, click on the Clean button.
6. Lastly, click on Apply and then on OK.

File Explorer crashes after Right Click in Desktop


Download: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows
NOTE: download version 1.97 or later, else Restart Explorer won't work in step 4

1. This program does not require installation, just right click and run as Administrator
2. From the menu, click on Options then click on Filter by Extension Type and select Context Menu. Also put check marks as shown
   
   
   
3. Click on the screen, Hold down CTRL Key+A to select all then click on the red button on top left corner to disable all.
4. Click on the Options again and select Restart Explorer
5. Now try to right click on desktop to see if it fixes your problem. If it does then start to enable one by one and repeat step 4 until the problem occurs again, that's the offending extension.
