Windows 10: Take ownership subdirectories fail

    I take ownership of a folder it works on that folder. But all the folders underneath create errors cannot enumerate, no permission. How do I get around this without dealing with each folder by hand separately?

    does file history include subdirectories?

    Does Win 10 File History backup feature automatically include all subdirectories of folders that are added to the include list?

    That is, if I specify c:\users\username, will all subdirectories under c:\users\username automatically get backed up? Or do I have to manually add each subdirectory?

    Yes, Windows 10 File History backups feature automatically includes all subdirectories of folders that are added to the list.

    Windows 10 fails to update


    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
