Windows 10: File Overwritten

i orginally had a the documents written on my laptop storage


then i back up on a USB


then edit the word doc on the usb (Removable Disk) instead then


i try to replace all the folder stored in the USB to Laptop storage


then i loose my newest documents, updated documents from the USB to Laptop Storage now


i tried restoring previous versions only partially recoved word docs, i did loose some of the most important word docs stored on my computer storage though overwritten replacement docs from the USB


i am having the worst time of my life


crisis point, i worked so hard on it

File Explorer not showing thumbnails

Many thanks for you reply. I have done all the steps you suggested, but no change,

When I open a folder containing photos, some open correctly but the vast majority open with thumbnails, but they very quickly get overwritten and you can not longer see the thumbnails.

Are there any more suggestions?

I accidently overwritten my Keyboard layout (French) with Keyboard Layout Manager, so now the French Keyboard layout is QWERTY while it's supposed to be AZERTY. I was wondering if I could reset it to it's original state or if there
is something else I can do?

I understand your concern in this regard.

Follow the below mentioned steps and check if it helps you in fixing the issue.

• Click Start button, type Control Panel
  and select the same from the list
• Clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then
  Language.
• 
  Now select the options against the language to which you need to change the keyboard layout
  
• 
  Under Input Method section, click Add a Input Method
  
• 
  Browse and select an AZERTY keyboard layout from the list. Remove the existing
  Input Method.
  
• 
  Click Save.
  

Note

• 
  Not all of the AZERTY keyboard layouts are labeled as AZERTY. To verify if a keyboard layout is AZERTY, select the keyboard, and then click
  Preview.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
