Windows 10: Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller can't be configured on PC? (Windows 10, all up to date as of...

I just got an xbox elite series 2 controller to use for PC gaming (mainly rocket league). I want to be able to configure the buttons and set up profiles so that I can have the back paddles usable for the controls I want them to be. I installed all the drivers and installed the "xbox accessories" app. When I opened the app the first time and plugged the controller in, it went through the installation process for the controller and it shows the controller on the app. I can do the button test and see that the buttons are working (mostly, the "B" button seems to need to be pressed directly on the center and firmly in order for it to input, which is a bit annoying) but the "configure" option on the app is grayed out and I cannot click it with my mouse, or highlight it with the controller. Can anyone please help me with this issue?
