Windows 10: Changed my mail domain from hotmail.com to outlook.com. Is there a way to revert the changes?

So I was having problems with syncing between my workplace and home place on windows 10.

Long story short,

In a try to remove my mail from my workplace, I went to https://account.microsoft.com/profile/ and added a pseudonym on my Microsoft account as an @outlook.com and deleted my previous main @hotmail.com address. And now it looks like this. Before was *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Now I am not receiving any mails that was linked to my old hotmail.com (Obviously) . This did not crossed my mind cause I thought i was just editing login credentials of my Microsoft account on Windows 10 at my work. But it switched my email address completely. When I try to add my old @hotmail.com address, I get this error.

Is there a way to revert the changes? Since my @hotmail.com address is linked my bank/online/gaming accounts and I don't want to go trough that painful process of contacting each support about how i lost my mail address.

hotmail is now outlook

Hotmail users can now upgrade to outlook layout.It looks like windows 8 menus. It's very fast now using outlook over the previous layout.


look in your hotmail/live for this email. Outlook.co​m Team "You've changed. Shouldn't your inbox?"‏

you can upgrade from within and create new alias's too.

As suggested, I do have a few e-mail addresses.

• My primary address is only given out to legitimate known contacts and I have no problem with junk mail.
• A secondary e-mail (Hotmail) is given out when I want to buy something on line and I want replies but I don't want to risk my primary address. This is the one that is giving me grief since it does get legitimate replies (and the junk).
• A third e-mail that I give out when some web site needs an a-mail address to register and I don't really think it is necessary. I totally ignore e-mail in this account.

This strategy has worked for me for a number of years. However, this "icu.com" domain is a new development and it is a pain in the a$$. I may abandon the Hotmail address and establish a new secondary account. That will probably work for a short while.

 

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
