  1. Extra Administrator Account I Can't Get Rid Of!

I have been having some issues. And in the end, this will be about my adminsitrative account.

I was trying to enable wake on lan. And it was't working. I enabled wake on lan in the bios. But one issue I had was trying to click to prevent windows from shutting down my usb drive (which runs my network usb stick). The option was greyed out. I also couldn't prevent windows from shutting down my network card.

I went to my cmd and typed powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

It turns out my network card was not on the list. I tried to manually add it and my cmd said I did not have sufficient privileges. I ran CMD as administrator. I'm the only account on my computer, so I found it weird.

So I went to this youtube video that told me to go to safe mode, and my cmd from there, and type innet user administrator /active

and then type net user administrator password and press enter.

After I did that, not only is my issue not fixed, but now I have a secondary user account I can't get rid of.

1: Can you help me figure out how to get rid of this user account.

2: Can you help me figure out why my usb network stick wasn't on the list, and help me gain full administrative privileges?

I'm using a HP Z220 with an old i7, 12 GB of RAM. And a usb network adapter.

I just want to get wake up on lan working. I'm trying to find a wake to wake up my work computer (A computer I own... I work as a Youth Pastor at a church), and I want to wake it up at my home, so I can game. I do some gaming sometimes with youth and playing from my Android tablet via steam link would be awesome. But unfortunately it can't see my computer when it sleeps, and my usb network adapter turns off everytime it sleeps.

I Don't want to waste all of that work power by leaving my computer on 24/7.

Anywhat, any ideas on how to get rid of the account, and then how to fix my other administrative issue, so I can help wake on lan to work?

    :)

Settings can't be opened using the built-in administrator account

    Hello,
Unfortunately I have the same issue as Dabz from upgrading win7 to win10.
I've tried opening settings using all the suggested methods and it will not load using my account with Administrator access nor the built-in Administrator profile. I also tried other methods not listed such as using Run. Control panel is just a stepping stone to add users in Settings.
I'm also having explorer.exe issues, which I believe is preventing Settings from loading.
Using cmd (Admin) I successfully created a new user profile [and granted admin access also using cmd (Admin)], however win10 will not allow this account to log on. win10 does not list this new user within control panel but it does in the start menu. win10 will not allow to log in or switch to the new account via the start menu either.
I can access settings in Safe Mode but this will not allow me to create a new account.
Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers
