Windows 10: Chromium update does not install

After a window appears asking to update chromium. When the ok button is pressed another window pops up displaying the message :


C:\PROGRA~2\Google\Chrome\APPLIC~1\780390~1.97\chrome.dll
Access is denied.
If I choose to refuse the update the Chrome window I had been in freezes. The update window seems to reappear randomly.

The moment I submitted this issue the update reappeared. My Chrome window was frozen and it was necessary to restart my PC.

Cannot uninstall Chromium browser at all on Windows 10.

followed the steps you have posted here and was doin' great until the very last step. opened my C: drive but no Chromium folder listed. any other suggestions? really want Chromium off my system as it's a pain in the butt!!!!

• Are you pertaining to Chromium browser or a malware?
• What are the changes made to your computer before Chromium appeared?

If you suspect that its a virus/malware, we suggest that you run a complete scan on your computer to remove it.
