Windows 10: Print Jobs Getting Stuck in Print Queue for 20 Minutes after Updating (Printer is an Epson...

So I just got the 1909 update (OS build 18363.476) the other day, and have since experienced some big problems with printing. Whenever I try to print anything now on my Epson ET-2650 printer the print job stays in the printer queue on my HP Envy 360 laptop for around 20 minutes before it finally prints. I've tried experimenting with just printing super short documents on Word with only a few words to test it, and it still has this problem no matter how big or small the document. I've also confirmed that it's an isolated problem, because I can print things off my phone or macbook in less than 5 seconds.

So far I've tried: - unplugging the printer for 5 minutes, then turning it back on - checked for system updates - used the Windows troubleshoot function on the printer - checked for driver updates for the printer (none available) - cleared the print spooler

Print job stuck in queue

I have a print job in my printer queue that I cannot get out. I tried printing a website from Microsoft Edge and it is stuck there since. I have tried clearing out the printer spooler as instructed here. But there are no files in my win32\spool\printer folder.

Some more information:
I am trying to print from a laptop to a network printer at work. And the current status in the queue is "deleting".

Things I have tried till now:
- stop printer spooler and empty spool folder
- ran printer troubleshooter, but it just said it couldn't delete the print jobs, just like I couldn't do manually- restarted the printer
- restarted the laptop
- deleted the printer, but somehow when I reboot it adds the printer automatically again, including the stuck job

You might have to uninstall the printer completely from Add/Remove Programs, reboot, then reinstall them.

 

Printer Jobs Get Stuck in Printer Queue; will not print

I am running windows 10. Have a new HP printer. Printer jobs get stuck in printer queue. The only way I can get it to print is to restart printspool but once it prints it stays in the print queue. As I add another print job, it does not print. I stop
printspool and it prints the 1st job not the second. The only way I can get a document to print is to end the spooler subsystem app in my task manager, stop printspool, go to windows\system32\spool\printers and delete temporary files and restart printspool
and sometimes the same first print job appears and I cannot print the second job. Sometimes I can print the second job, but the items remain in my print queue. I am guessing something is corrupt, but my HP computer and printer are new and I have been having
problems like this ever since I attached the printer. I have deleted the printer, reinstalled it many times. Unplugged it, went through the prior sequence, but this problem keeps reoccurring. There are printspool fixes online for a price, but I do not know
if they work or is this a fix I can do on my own. Thanks.
