Windows 10: Downgrading from windows 10 - 8.1

Hello,


I have an HP pavilion 15 p010ax touchscreen computer that has a copy of Windows 10 Home 64 bit installed it that is linked to my Microsoft account.

This specific laptop has two graphics cards, an integrated, and a dedicated one. The dedicated being an AMD R7 M260. The integrated one being an AMD 8610G paired with the processor which is an AMD 5745m Quad core CPU. It came pre installed with Windows 8 and was upgraded to Windows 8.1 later. During my experience with Windows 8/8.1 games were running fine. An example being Subnautica, a game which my integrated card cannot handle but my R7 can.


Well,

Windows 10 came along and pooped all over my R7 because now the R7 is not being used at all. I have tried the latest drivers from Windows update, AMD and HP. None have worked.


The system now fully relies on the 8610G (integrated card) for all of it's business. Which means my performance in Subnautica went down and sometimes crashes and corrupts data.


AMD and HP cannot give me anymore help.


So, I was wondering if/how I could downgrade to Windows 8/8.1. Since I upgraded, I replaced the hard drive in this PC for an SSD. Will this prevent me from downgrading?

If I do downgrade, can I upgrade again?

Does Windows 8 have support for the Microsoft store (specifically games) as I purchased Astroneer from there.

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

I would try these:

• Get your Windows 7 media device and reinstall Windows
• Try auto-repair
• Follow these steps:

1. Put in your Windows 10 media device, boot into the USB
2. Select your language and keyboard input, then click next.
3. Click "Repair this computer"
4. Go to "Advanced options"
5. click system restore
6. Select a restore point before you downgraded to Windows 7.
