Windows 10: Cannot start application (0xc000007b)

I get this error saying 'The application couldn't start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.' (I think you know what I'm talking about) while trying to run new games Sekiro, Borderlands, etc. I googled about how to fix it but none of the solutions have worked for me. Some of the things I tried:

1. Running application as Administrator.
2. Running application in Compatibility Mode.
3. Re-installing application.
4. Installing latest versions of DirectX, .NET Framework, Visual C++ runtime packages.
5. Running SFC and DISM.

Interesting note on point no. 5 - On running SFC, it displayed a message 'Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.' So I googled about it again, and it suggested to run DISM. After running DISM, everything seems to be okay now.


What I want:

1. To fix this problem and be able to run the applications.
2. To know about the cause of this error.
3. To know about possible future diagnostics.

A few things that might help:

1. I initially thought the (rar) installation files of the games were corrupt, but turns out they work fine in my friend's computer. So no, the problem has to be with the computer.
2. My Microsoft Store (Windows app) stopped working at about the same time I started encountering this error. Along with the Store app, other Windows apps like Groove Music, Photos, have stopped working too. Films&TV still works though. I tried resetting the apps, and now they are gone altogether. LOL.
3. My PC clock seems to be off as well. I have to reset it to the correct time every time I log in.
4. I don't get this error in all the games I run, just the relatively newer ones like Sekiro, Borderlands, Assassin's Creed, etc.
5. My PC: Windows 10 64-Bit (updated to 1909), Intel Core i7-8750H, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050.

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."-is the error that I've been getting on many applications, reinstalling windows was an option suggested by many, and so did I, but it didn't seem to help at
all, I've seen the applications work on different computers, but mine is only the exception.. any tips?

I have windows 10 installed and I have also installed the finale 2014 demo.

I am getting an error on launch of the application. It seems to be the only application that cannot run.

The error is:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

It seems to be an error with the C++ runtime. I have installed them but I have been unsuccessful.

l also contacted the company. Still waiting for a response although I don't think its an issue with the software.

Any help please?
