Windows 10: Unable to install MS Store game on my device ("...no applicable device linked...")

I'm trying to take advantage of the Xbox live for PC Beta and download Halo Master collection or whatever it's called. I've made a payment and activated the membership.


However when I try to download the game from MS Store, I click "Install on my devices" and get the following error, "It looks like you dont have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your microsoft account."


I'm signed in with my ONLY microsoft account. It is the account tied to my User login, my product key, etc. When I go to my account settings to 'manage my devices' I can see my PC, nothing looks strange. I dont get it.


I've tried to basically 'uninstall' the MS store app as per a couple search results suggested, but no luck.


I'm so stumped Ive turned to asking the community. There must be more people like me having this issue with the release of the new Halo for PC reboot.

Device Limit Reached For Installing Apps & Games


Anyone else received this email from 'Microsoft Devices Team' <maccount[@]microsoft.com>? I haven't followed any of the links and logged in, however the links look legit, it doesn't appear to be a phishing email.

I seem to remember someone saying recently that apps from the Windows Store can only be downloaded and installed on up to 10 devices per Microsoft Account with Windows Ten (it was 81 devices per a Microsoft Account for Windows Eight). But I'm nowhere near that? Sent in error?

 

Unable to link device to Microsoft Store

Cannot verify identity in accounts-win10. Not able to synch. or download from Microsoft Store as device not linked to account.

When trying to verify identity it states-illegal state change was requested.

So have purchased game from Store but unable to download.

Did you go into your MS account from which the game was purchased and confirm that the Lenovo laptop is listed as a linked Device? Sometimes with more than on e MS account a device will be linked to another account and not the one the game is registered with.
Confirm that first.

If it's clearly linked to the same account you bought the game with, then I'd contact Store support here:
