    Windows 10 Freezes/Locks up Whilst in a Game


    Background info:

    I've had my PC for around 3 years now. Ever since I built it I have been having a problem with certain games. Most of the games are high performance, but not always the case. Always whilst gaming though.


    Problem:

    The problem is that my PC will freeze/lock up on whatever its current screen is. I have waited for up to 15 minutes for it to either unfreeze or give me a blue screen. Nothing has ever happened and not even pressing the restart/power button on my PC works. I have to manually pull out the plug from the wall. No DMP files are created as my PC doesn't restart correctly so I cannot share them.


    What I've done:

    I've run various tests/scans such as memory scans, CheckHealth, ScanHealth, RestoreHealth in CMD. It's all come back fine.


    Specs:

    PSU: HEXA 500

    OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit version 22.11.2.7

    CPU: Intel i5 6400

    RAM: 8GB

    Graphics: GTX 1070

    Storage: 200GB SSD, 2TB Hard Disk

    Motherboard: Gigabyte B150M-D3H-CF (U3E1)

    I have no idea what to do and I'd like to get it sorted before anything critical happens to my PC.

    all games crash!

    ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
