    Scammer accessing my computer

He said he worked for MS said my anti virus had expired, He said he needed to access my PC to install the new software. It took me 15 mins on the phone with him to make up my mind, weather or not to give him access, to my computer, but I did! MORON Any ways The only thing I can say since I did this, my computer has been running slow and just kind of weird. My question? What can I do about this, and what kind the repercussion should I expect after allowing him access. I don't have all the info that you are looking for, and this happened several ( April or May of this year) months ago, but I read this posting and could relate to what happened. If you have any info on this scam please forward to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** Thank You

I know you can't do any thing about this , but I thought others should know.

    :)

One computer cannot access other network computers.

So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:
    • Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
    • Ran a bunch of network commands:
      • flushed DNS
      • registered dns
      • pinged and located the named computers successfully
    • Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?

  3. Scammer had access

I allowed a scammer access to my computer. I since used a restore to previous time. the restore was not complete.I ran it twice I was calling what I thought was Apple support till they wanted $199 for a one time fix or $499 for 5 years. Do I need to worry
? will it effect others who sign in uses on this computer ?

    Thanks
