After dealing with some issues, I ended up having to completely reinstall Windows 10 on my SSD (after formatting and whatnot). Once that was done, I updated all the mandatory drivers that I could, and made sure that everything seemed fine on that end. However, whenever I'm just generally using the computer, every so often the computer completely freezes and ends up giving a BSOD with the 'Machine Check Exception' error, which infinitely stays at 0% until I hard reset it. I tried booting into safe mode and checking Device Manager to see if there were any warning signs, however the only ones I found were from 'Microsoft Hyper-V-Virtualization Infrastructure Driver' which I am unsure on how to update that one.

This issue isn't one that is completely harming my general experience, however it is worrying not knowing when suddenly my computer is just going to randomly crash

I did check the Event Viewer, and under Windows Logs --> Applications I found an error message around the time of the BSOD error which stated (Event ID = 2004):

Unable to open the Server service performance object. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the status code.

I've also ran lots of hard driver tests and even used EaseUS Partition Master which came back with no errors present, so I'm assuming it is something other than a hard drive error causing this?

    :)

    Win10 BSOD Machine Check Exception

Hey everyone, so recently I started getting a lot of Machine Check Exception bluescreens and Im not sure what the cause is. Is there a list of steps to figure out what is causing it?

    Thank you for your time.

    BSOD MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION

    Hi,

Machine Check Exception Freeze and Blue Screen Error is a bug check that indicates that a fatal machine exception has occurred on your system. Try running the blue screen error troubleshooter and follow the instructions on this
    article.

If the issue still persists, check the answer of SpiritX MS MVP, one of our community MVPs, and follow the steps he provided on this
thread which were found helpful in resolving the issue.

Should you need further assistance, feel free to post your query anytime.

    BSOD Machine Check Exception

    Hey all,

I've gotten this error a few times now and I'm not exactly sure what's going on as I've changed nothing on my system in a very long time but it has decided that it is time to BSOD me again *Frown Randomly Occuring 'Machine Check Exception' BSOD's while regular use :(

I've got the memory dump file but it's 419 mb (is it supposed to be that big?) so uploading it is not practical. Any suggestions on something I can download to decode this for me? I wish I had the foresight to take a picture of it but it restarts the computer too fast for me to think of such an idea.

Suggestions are welcome, thanks *Smile Randomly Occuring 'Machine Check Exception' BSOD's while regular use :)

oh and btw: it occurs at random times. When I'm gaming, when I'm simply enjoying some pandora, when I'm playing solitaire. So it's not a load related issue.
