Windows 10: Forced update bricked my computer...

    Forced update bricked my computer...


    So, I had some work I was doing up on my computer, work I had taken all day to complete. I was away for a short time, and got hit by the forced windows update. I come back and it says the update was "27%" complete. An hour later, still at 27%. It was hung. I rebooted the computer, and it went into trying to "undo the last update", reboots, repeat.. repeat.. I never fixes the issue. It's impossible to get into safe mode. I made a Windows 10 recovery USB stick on another computer. I get in there, and none of the repair options will repair the OS. In the command line mode, I try sfc, to avail. It says there are corrupt files, but cannot repair them. Check the log. The log I made is miles long and undecipherable. It probably makes sense to some Microsoft developer. I mounted the drive on another computer running Windows 10 and tried to run sfc on the damaged windows disk and the same issue arose. I finally grabbed a new hard drive and reinstalled Windows 10 on that, and got the computer back up. But I now have nothing but Windows on the machine. I need to get my original windows disk back up and running. Any ideas?

    Computer bricked by forced update?

    It would not work.

    Me and my friend is going to change the hard disk and see if that helps. If not, then the computer is truly bricked.

    I'm crossing my fingers.

    gpu bios update failed, gpu bricked

    I would suggest a cheap pci card and ensure you use the correct path where the bricked card is so you dont accidentally flash the pci card
