  1. Windows Update causing Whea_uncorrectable_error (code 0xc000000F)

For the last couple months, I get a blue screen of death with the error WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR while my pc was idle or when trying to reboot. I was scared at first of this error but I came to understand that going back to an old save of windows is fixing it... temporarily, until Windows Update forces an unwanted update and the crashes happen again.

I cannot provide a step-by-step procedure of what I did to try and solve the problem, but here is what I have tried. Through this process, I found some weird stuff as well but can't put my finger on it cause I feel like it's going to be like finding a needle in the haystack.

    • chkdisk -> No error there
    • Booting in safe mode -> always working.
    • eventvwr showed me some errors :
      • Service Profile User (I think), but I found out it is not something that should make my pc crash.
      • RGBFusion (it's an app for my GPU that was showing errors regularly, I have uninstalled it. -> still crashed
      • I concluded that I wouldn't find my answer there.
    • Removed all external periphericals, don't really know why. -> did nothing.
    • Checked what the last saved windows was included and it is mostly some Intel(r) downloads.
    • Tried resolving problems that is stopping me from updating -> finds nothing.

This part is important, because I remember when I tried to install Intel(r) updates myself with Intel Driver & Support Asisstant and that is when I understood that this was the cause of my crashes. I did uninstall but the crashes still happens because of Windows Update.

Looking now at the Windows Update in parameters, it tells me (translated by me from french) :

Updates available; Intel Corporation - Display - 26.20.100.7263

    State : Update waiting

Updates will install automatically once the computer will be in idle state or you can install them right now.

    ----------------

Now, I noticed a weird pattern as well since I can boot on my desktop : after 30 seconds I noticed once that my mouse was not clicking anymore. My PC did not crash this time, though. Again, my mouse was moving, but couldn't click anywhere...until I opened my logitech mouse application (with keyboard and tab). All my gaming mouse profiles were cleared but now my mouse was working. I believe this situation was an exception because normally, my mouse freezes for a second and then my PC gives me the blue screen of death. It looks like it is starting some process or app on startup but I can't find it. Then something goes wrong and bam!blue screen of death.
