Windows 10: Slow Restart For Some Reason--Windows 10 Pro 1909

Lately whenever i restart system takes like 1-5 minutes to go from Restarting screen to fully restarting, While updating today took at least 10 minutes before finally restarted, Previous Antivirus was Avast, removed with Wise Uninstaller, removed all the left overs, and also used Avast Clear in safe mode, then manually deleted the folders.

Note: Laptop machine reboots fast, but Windows 10 Home, and always ran Defender

Is my almost 5 year old SSD silently about to go? ((warranty expires on current boot SSD March 2020), Western Digital Blue First Gen 250GB SSD

Look forward to info or suggestions to fix the slow restart if possible lol, if not maybe it will fix in my future clean install when Windows new version comes out in 2020

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

 

windows 10 slow boot

I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.
