  1. Another Win 10 reactivation issue.

    First things first:

    I have tried:

1.EVERYTHING listed in Windows troubleshooting guides.

2.I have contacted chat "support" ... all chat links now lead to the virtual agent. It's a robot that tells you to call.

3.I called the ONE support center number available. I have called twice. To protect "my privacy" they refuse to take an order number or account to verify i own it. They me to use an old 7 code to reactivate it if I have one other than that I will have to purchase a new license for my "new" computer.

I bought Win 10 Nov 22. Then I did some black Friday shopping. I updated my rigs motherboard, cpu and ram. Yes, I am aware that MS considers the mobo to be "the computer."

NOW. It is a digital license for Win 10 pro. It IS linked to my MSA, per their guide. This should have just been as easy as hitting the "troubleshoot button" and it reactivating according to their hardware upgrade guide.

It's is not. No one seems to want to help and the solution is to spend ANOTHER $200 two weeks after I already bought it. I got 12 days out of the last install.

I should NOT have to buy a new copy of Win 10 literally days after my last purchase which but all guides they put out say it should have reactivated. Do I have a recourse to follow here? or did Microsoft just rob me of $200?

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

  3. Fresh Install of Win 10 without Serial Key?

Looking to reformat a laptops HDD, and then reinstall Win 10 fresh. The problem is it came pre-installed with Win 8 and I did the free upgrade to Win 10. How exactly would I re-format the HDD, reinstall Win 10 and ensure it reactivates properly? I don't see a Win 8 serial key anywhere in the contents of the box.
