    New computer same license.

Hi, i just got my new computer and installed windows but it doesn't want to activate.

I upgraded from win 7 or 8 a few years ago to win 10 (pro?) and haven't had any trouble with my license on the other computer.

The harddrives from the old computer have been formatted and used as secondary drives in this new computer so there isn't anything currently using the license. But in my Microsoft account i can still see the old computer as one of my units.

Is there any known workaround? I have already tried the troubleshooter to no avail.
The old computer was synced to my Microsoft account so the license should be as well, is there a way to check maybe? Do i need to delete the old unit from my account page for the license to officially be open so the new computer can claim it?

I am out of ideas and googling isn't yielding many more.

    :)

How to transfer windows 10 license to a new computer?

If its the free upgrade originated from an OEM Windows 7 or Windows 8 preinstalled license, it is still not transferrable, even though it says its retail in the command line using slmgr.vbs /dlv command.

Only licenses upgraded from a retail Windows 8 or Windows 7 or full Windows 10 license.
