    I'm trying to activate my new pc but it gives me this error code 0x87E10BCF i've try trouble shooting and i dont have a product key. Also when i try to download a windows genuine it does not work. Please Help!

    Error 0x87E10BCF when trying to activate Windows 10

    I have recently bought a second hand laptop with Windows 8.1 installed.

    I upgraded this to Windows 10, but it has not automatically activated.

    When I try to activate with the original product key, I get the following error:

    I have tried Troubleshoot, and entered the original product key, and it ends with the same error.

    I have contacted Microsoft activation support, but they were unable to help, and referred me to Microsoft support.

    I have read
    this article    , and it does not help. It does not refer to error 0x87E10BCF.

    There are many questions on this forum referring to error 0x87E10BCF, and none of them seem to be resolved. Can someone please explain what error 0x87E10BCF means, and where I and others can get support?

    I have tried to arrange call back from Microsoft, but it doesn't appear to work.
