  1. My resolution changed and I can’t change it back

Hello, I have been having this problem with my windows 10 resolution. Yesterday, I was messing with the settings on the nvidia control panel and I clicked to restore all global settings in the “Manage 3d Settings” tab. When I did that, the screen turned black for a second and then my screen resolution was stretched and distorted. I have tried to change back the resolution in the nvidia and windows 10 settings. I have tried to create custom resolutions. I have also tried to reinstall the graphics cars drivers and update my pc but none of those things work. I have been trying to change back the resolution since yesterday. Please help

    :)

Change the Resolution setting on the moniter

Hello, to change your screen resolution, please follow these steps:

    1) Open Start, select Settings then select System and then select Display. Alternatively, you can right click the background on your desktop, and select Display Settings.

    2) Under Scale and layout, check the setting under Change the size of text, apps, and other items. We suggest you use the percentage marked "(Recommended)."

    3) If that doesn't solve your problem, under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked "(Recommended)."

    Display resolution keeps changing

    Hi Rick,

It might be caused by a faulty driver that's why your display resolution keeps changing. We
suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the display driver, see steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X and click on
      Device Manager.
    • For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right click your graphics card and select Uninstall.
    • Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
