Windows 10: Added child as family member, he doesn't appear in my start menu as a user

What the everloving heck. I am losing my mind. I have added my child as a family member to my new laptop. Nobody but myself appears on the start menu as a user. I have tried restarting the laptop, I have deleted and re-added him. Nothing works. This is beyond frustrating. HELP. Also, does Microsoft REALLY not provide any customer service in the form of a real person??

Hi! I'm having a problem with adding a family member. I just added a child family member and set the appropriate restrictions. I want to be able to switch users so she can log in and use the computer (Microsoft Surface). However, when I try to choose
the "switch user" option, no other account shows up. I also found that, when I tried to go my settings online and check family accounts, I found a message indicating that the computer could not connect to family at this time. There IS a record of my having
created the child account in question. I just can' t access it in any way whatsoever.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your time and attention in this matter.

 

Adding a child family member

Apologies for the delay in the response.

If you are still facing the issue, please delete and re-add the account.

• Login to
  https://account.microsoft.com/family#/
• Under Your Family, click Remove.
• Click on the child account name and then click Remove.
• Now, re-add the child account by logging into your admin account in Windows.
