Windows 10: Installing Win 10, thank you MS.

Warning long rant. So I had an updating on my Win7 laptop, things seemed fine until the reboot to finish the update. After that update oddities showed up. Longer boot up, Firefox went brain dead, opening it would lead to a blank screen, it would only work in safe mode. Chrome would open, but shit a brick if I did a search. IE worked just fine. Spent 6 hours trying to reinstall Firefox only to keep having it fail. This happened to different accounts on the laptop, mind you this laptop has been running ship shape until then. Tried a system restore which didnt work how I expected. The restore finished only for my computer to flag an update was,available. Fine lets download that update again. Bzzz failed again. Fine lets stop that upgrade, Bzzz, its manditory. Wait why does it say the update was sucessful? Well lets try to uninstall the update. Bzzz the update doesnt exist in the uninstall list. Lets,go back another further restore. Bzz, all past restores have been wiped. Fine you win MS.

I had bought Win 10 so the laptop could be upgraded. Gave up on Firefox and chrome. After 5 hours of messing with the computer to finally get even the OS upgrade Started, as that was locking up as well. Started to install windows 10. Only for it to get stuck at 89%. Figured it was a long update. 8 hours later, yep still stuck. Power cycle and the system reverts. Still borked. Tried to get,around the updates by having no Wi-Fi, nope it needs mandatory updates to install. This is by USB stick by the way.

So we are here now second try to install Win 10 and again 8 hours later still,stuck at,bloody 89%. Damn it MS.

I can't ctrl alt del, because this point is mid install of Win 10, I can't get it to move an inch past 89%. I might just have to bite the bullet pull the hard drive, back that data up and then "nuke and pave" my laptop that had been stable for the past 4 years.

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

YOUR SUGGESTION OF MS Visual C++ 2010, FIXED THE PROBLEM. ONLY "ATI OVERDRIVE" WAS NOT SHOWING IN CCC AFTER A 10-12 INSTALL.

• Let us know are you referring to Update list when you say "Win 10 mailing list"?

Meanwhile, I suggest you to Run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool which fixes the Windows corruption error if there are any. Follow the steps:

• 
  Press Windows+X.
  
• 
  Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• 
  Type the command DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  and hit Enter.
