Windows 10: Took me 5:30h to upgrade a Compaq DC7900DFF from 1803to 1909 now i have windows defender...

I tried sfc /scannow it finds errors but cant fix them also tried dism command and nothing everything is broken now this is an enterprise pc (hotel frontdesk) and i cant format it to a clean install took me about 3 days trying to update from 1803 because the upgrade message wouldnt go away and we couldnt work with it because the 120gb ssd was full i tried to use my 200gb sandisk connect the first time but after downloading everything and starting to install the updates it was stuck on 0% for full 6h i just gave up next night (i work nights only im the night manager) i tried with an external hdd we have here a wd 250gb 7200rpm and the same happened 6h+ 0% the last attempt i just gave up on updating via external storage and moved all the downloads/desktop/documents from all user accounts on the pc into a network backup server and even i have enough space to upgrade via the system drive also took 5:30h to process the job and after it rebooted into the 1909 working upgrade all registered licenses were gone like the office was unregistered the webroot anywhere the same basically all registered software was broken by this upgrade and also windows defender stopped working after the upgrade was broken and it will not install any updates neither work if i try to enable it afte ri uninstall the antivirus it's not working the services will not enable they are broken

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

 

Windows 10, version 1909 - Error 0x80070005

Went through the MCT step and the History shows that there have been multiple failures to install 1903 and 1909 over the last months. The steps I took in your installation did not end up with a successful installation. I did turn off my VPN but not the
MS Defender tool. The web shows that many people have this issue and there are some pretty complicated suggestions, and not sure that any work.

I am sure this is only a MS issue and that Apple would not have this problem.

Any link to advice that will get me on the right road.

Watercooling compaq or upgrade to new case?

Ok so the taxes came back and i have a few options. Unlike that other guy money is a object and i can spend up to 250-300 dollars. Now would i be able to throw a traditional watercooling kit into my Compaq (please don't laugh i know compaq is garbage) or just be better off getting a great case with a aftermarket HS+F for the moment? I can't get a new case and watercool right now it's either 1 or the other for now. So what do you all think? Watercool the compaq now or get a new case and watercool 4 or 5 months later?

P.S. A new motherboard and video card are also on my list of future upgrades.
