  1. 'Storage Service' in Services is always set to disabled when I restart my computer

My friend recently gave me an Xbox Game Pass for PC and I was really happy because I could finally play a certain game I wanted to play. I've been getting many errors and problems because the Xbox App is beyond broken, which has caused me to do all kinds of troubleshooting and I lost count of everything that I did. One thing that I must have enabled at all times is Storage Service, it used to be set to manual but I decided to set it to automatic to troubleshoot some error code. After I set it to automatic, the service is always set to disabled when I reboot my computer. I have tried changing it back to manual, but it still is disabled every time. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

    :)

Service is Started on Restart but Service Set to Disabled

Service is Started on Restart but Service Set to Disabled

I am new to WIN10, and I find this behavior puzzling. I have set the service "Microsoft Office Click-to-Run Service" to Disabled because I can't stand using OneDrive and OneDrive (Office 2013 version) will autostart. So, I use a utility program (SC) to (1) Enable ClickToRunSvc service, (2) Start the Service, and (3) Disable the service (sc config ClickToRunSvc start= disabled).

Then I start the Microsoft programs as usual (Office365). When finished, I shut down the computer using the Windows menu item "Start", Power, Shutdown.

When I turn the computer back on and log in, the ClickToRunSvc is running again even though the service status is DISABLED?

It's as if the shutdown is not a true shutdown but in fact a hibernate or a "shutdown.exe /s /hybrid".

However, if I stop the ClickToRunSvc before shutting down, it is still stopped on the next boot -- but if it is running (started) when I shut down or restart, the restart allows the ClickToRunSvc to be running again.

Can anyone explain why this behavior in WIN10 is different than WIN7 ? In WIN7, I could leave ClickToRunSvc running at shutdown and it would not be able to start itself until my batch file started it up (enable, start, disable).

    Windows 7 services

You should just know which services to set to manual, there are a ton of them, starting with xp. The time service is the first one... unless you set it up properly, just disable it. Then remote registry, I don't need anyone else messing with my registry... disable, I don't use themes, disable, there are a few others too, then things like adobe update service, not needed, disable... it's not that hard to figure out what you can disable, or at least put to manual.
Edit: if you need suggestions, get The Ultimate Troubleshooter, not free, but it will show you how to do much of this.

'Storage Service' in Services is always set to disabled when I restart my computer

Need some help with disabling windows services

Disabling the print spooler and fast user switching wouldn't make your machine do that. What else did you disable? The best way to disable services is Right click My Computer->Manage->Services. Right click on the service you want to disable and do it.*Smile 'Storage Service' in Services is always set to disabled when I restart my computer :)
