    Screen dimming on dark web pages.


    I'm using a Windows Surface 3 Laptop with an AMD. Fir some reason whenever i'm on battery and on a dark web page the screen dims. It's pretty annoying.

    Does anyone know a fix for this ?

    Screen auto dims when the backdrop is dark

    I have disabled adaptive brightness, as well in my Intel Graphics Control Panel I have disabled display power saving technology. However whenever the backdrop is dark, the screen still dims. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series. Even when I have the computer
    plugged in the screen dims when there is a dark backdrop.

    Hi Dylan, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

    It's possible your screen is dimming due to the Adaptive Brightness settings in Windows.

    See if you can turn it off by following these steps:

    1. Open the advanced Power Options for your power plan.

    2. In your current active power plan's (ex: High Performance) advanced settings, expand open Display and Enable adaptive brightness. (see screenshot below step 3)

    3. Turn on or off Enable adaptive brightness for what you want, and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)

    Otherwise, see if you need to disable a scheduled task for adaptive brightness:

    1. Search for Task Scheduler in Cortana. Right-click the result and select Run as administrator.

    2. In the left pane in Task Scheduler, navigate to Microsoft > Windows > Display > Brightness.

    3. In the right pane, Double-click BrightnessReset to open Properties for the task.

    4. Click the Triggers tab.

    5. Select the “At log on” trigger and click the “Edit…” button to open the edit page.

    6. The Enabled radio button at the bottom of the page should be checked. Click on the radio button to clear it.

    7. Click OK on the Edit trigger page and then click OK on the Properties page.

    Building a Web Page Help

    I am building a web page for my store and i admit its not my strong point. I have used Dreamweaver CS4 and the site when uploaded to the server does not show the frames i used to design the web page.

    Any suggestions?
