Windows 10: Problems with windows activation

Hi I'm having some issues with windows activation


I recently updated my pc, moved my parts to another pc and re-installed windows on both. Before this both pc's had a valid windows 10 licence. In order to move the licences I used a vbs script to extrace the licence information. On my main pc a valid windows 10 pro licence showed up and the product key.


For the second pc a windows 8.1 licence key showed up, which makes sense as it was updated using the free upgrade to windows 10 option.


Because I didn't trust it would all work, I added a microsoft account to both which supposedly would link the licence to the account.


Now with the first pc I used the licence key during the installation and it accepted it just fine. When windows was installed however it was not activated and trying to activate it with the key gives me the message: "The last product key you entered (ID: 00330-80000-00000-AA933)" you entered can't be used on this copy of windows. (0x803FA067)". When I tried to extract the key the product id was detected as (windows pro ID: 00330-80000-00000-AA727).

Ok no problem, so I tried the MS account route, I see 2 windows licences tied to my account and I select one, and I get


Unable to activate Windows
We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later.

Same with the second one.


On the second pc I tried to the 8.1 licence key, no luck and the MS account route same problem.


So neither method works, how to do I proceed ? I can give all keys and relevant information upon request.

activation problem

Hi,

I suggest you to go through Phone activation to activate your Windows 10 copy.

To run Phone activation please follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows + R key.
  
• 
  Type slui 4 and hit enter.
  
• 
  Select the Country or
  Region.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instructions.

Problem with my activation in windows 10 - Genuinity

I suggest you to activate the copy of Windows 10 via phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select your Region/Country.
• Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
