Cursor moving and clicking on its own on Windows 10

For a few weeks now, I have been noticing that my cursor seems to move against me when I am browsing. Yesterday, I went to check on something, and when I returned the cursor was randomly clicking and opening files. I looked up solutions and followed all of the advice, such as updating the drivers, and checking to see if it was a delayed response. When I checked for malware, I did notice something in the process tab that I didn't recognize. I decided to perform a factory reset and purge my files just to be safe. However, even after resetting, my mouse is still acting up. I've performed everything I could find to mitigate it, but nothing has worked.

I have a laptop that performs with Windows 10 Home.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Windows 10 File Explorer - the cursor continually moves back to the top of the list

Original title: Windows 10 File Explorer

When scrolling through a list of files in Explorer, the cursor continually moves back to the top of the list. Also when I try to rename a file the cursor moves back to the top of the list during this process.
