Windows 10: Cannot update windows 10 to 1903.

Hi, I need help with updating Windows 10. Whenever I try and update to 1903 the november feature update, it downloads then fails on the install phase. I get the fault 0x80070003.


I've ran the update troubleshooter and it tells me that a potential windows update database error has been detected.


I've tried all the usual tricks - I've restarted windows update in Services

- I've ran the system file checker

- I've deleted the Datastore folder

- I've ran DISM

- I've tried to update using the Windows update assistant downloaded online, I get the same erro

- I've even tried upgrading from a fresh windows 10 ISO with no luck.


Any new ideas would be welcome. Thanks for any help.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Cannot update to 1903

O_O thats a lot of steps. Starting in a few mins. Quick question though:
You list a set of instructions for "Windows 10 iso as an in place upgrade repair" with links, and then you included a box for "Routine troubleshooting steps" with 13 steps including links.

Which should I be following first?

PLEASE don't hate me for asking this as this just occurred to me. Should I try the update in Safe mode? I downloaded the MediaCreationTool 1903, but it wasn't successful in doing the update, nor was it successful in creating Usb install.

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
