  2. Anniversary update stuck configuring at 65%

I have a brand new Lenovo AIO, and everytime it tries to install the anniversary update, the configuration gets stuck at 65% during reboot. I've tried at least a half a dozen times and have let the configuration
run for over 8 hours multiple time, and it always hangs at 65%. I've tried running WU troubleshooter and have uninstalled mcafee based on recommendations discussed

    here
    but still no luck.

Any other suggestions? Should I defer or bypass the update? Do I need a fresh install of W10?

  4. Reboot is stuck on 65% for 10 hours

stating for hours: configuring update for windows 10 65% complete, Do not turn off your computer

Hi Raymond, that didn't work either. Same issue.

I ran the troubleshooter (twice in fact), which found and fixed WU db errors it seemed.

Windows update ran and downloaded updates automatically, and got stuck yet again at 65% when it rebooted and tried to configure the 1607 update. I let it run for 8 hours or so this time.

Any other ideas? This is a brand-new machine, setup less than a month ago, and I've now tried this at least a half a dozen times, each time getting stuck at 65%. Should I defer or bypass the update? Do I need a fresh install of Windows?
