Windows 10: Problem with media buttons

Hello, my media buttons stopped working and i cannot find a working fix, i tried the chrome thing, its not it, automatic start the human interface devices didnt work either.

im with a asus laptop, the fn+ volume brightness everything works fine but pause/play skip track etc, on the arrow keys dont work anywhere now, not spotify not chrome not media player, those keys just wont work, anyone know how can i solve this?

this was working fine till some time ago, im really getting frustrated with this and dont want to format the pc, but is really annoying not to have this keys working

• Is this happening on all video formats?
• Were there any changes made to your computer settings prior to this issue?

• Right-click on the Start / Windows button, and select Control Panel.
• Click Find and Fix problems under System and Security.
• Select View all on the left panel.
• Click Windows Media Player Settings, then click

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

In regard to your DVD Rom drive - go to -control panel/device manager/DVD/CD-ROM drives -make a note of the make and model number Example: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-215D ATA Device - highlight the device you have installed -press right mouse button-select properties-details-property and select Install Date from the drop down list and let us know this.
