Windows 10: Windows Update Error 0x8e5e0147

Windows has been trying to update but it keeps stopping the update with this error: 2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems KB4528760 - Error 0x8e5e0147. How do it fix it so that it will update?

Looks like you have an interferer (two actually) but you also may have .cat database corruption.

So, try uninstalling both Avast and McAfee in case that is enough; otherwise see the suggested "most efficient" resolution in the above thread.

Looks like a generic windows update error code and the troubleshooter should have helped. You may try the steps given in this link

Unable to download or install update cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3097617) - Error 0x8e5e0147

I have tried the manual download that in previous supdate worked, but this time fails even with Kaspersky off and Windows defender off.

It downlads and attempts to install and after the bar goes full right seemingly successful then tells me it was unable to install.

Is it going to be like this in the future or you guys will definitively fix this?
