    Suddenly have activate windows issue

Some time during mid Dec a activate windows watermark appeared on my screen, I looked it up and most of the results seemed to talk about a similar problem in 2018 where it was a problem on Microsofts side and that it would go away arfter a few days when Microsoft sorted out their servers.

In the activation section of Security & Updates there was an error that said something along the lines of 'your organisations servers are down wait for them to come back up or contact your organisation support/administrator' which seems bizarre because this is my personal laptop that I've had for years not a work computer. I got windows 10 as a free upgrade of windows 8 that came with my laptop.

So I waited for a few days and still had the problem, assumed that maybe it would take longer for them to fix the problem on their side because maybe the engineers were on holiday for Christmas? Unlikely yeah but thought it better to wait than try to fix it myself and maybe muck something up.

Whenever I use the troubleshooter it just told me that I had a digital license for Windows Home but I had Windows Pro installed, I tried to use a RefreshWindowsTool from the Microsoft website so that would give me a clean installation of Windows Home but whenever I tried to run it just said that it doesn't support the language, edition or version of windows installed on my PC.

I've looked through a few articles and threads about windows activation errors and tried a few of the solutions but none have worked obviously, one has made the error message change it involved me putting in a generic product key to make the Windows pro version I have downgrade to home which the torubleshooter told me I do have a digital license for. It has only resulted in the error message changing to "We cant actiate windows on this device because the previous version of windows was not activated prior to upgrading to windows 10. Error code: 0x803F7001"

I read that a potential cuase of this problem is a change of hardware or doing a reinstall of windows, the keyboard on this laptop broke about 5-6 months ago and I had it taken to a repairman. I believe that he reinstalled windows then and swapped out the keyboard if that's still relevant given the time between that and this activation error.

To summary: My windows 10 has downgraded from pro or it thinks has pro installed now arfter a Microsoft updatetbh I cant remember which I had originally, I got windows 10 as an upgrade from win 8 during an update a few years ago. I have tried a few methods to fix it and am unable to reinstall windows for some reason.

    :)

  2. ACTIVATION ISSUE

    Hi,

Activation issues with Windows 10 devices are usually caused due to some hardware changes. For us to provide an effective resolution, we would need you to answer the following questions:

    • What changes have you made to your devices before this issue occurred?
    • Are your computers connected to a domain?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest visiting these links. These can be used as a reference on how to activate Windows 10:

We are looking forward to your response.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

  4. Suddenly have activate windows issue

URGENT HELP NEEDED! HDD suddenly became blank!

    Hey there, @Shamonto Hasan Easha!

I'd try re-plugging the hard drive and checking if the cable is damaged. I'd also suggest to try plugging the drive in another computer and see if it gets recognized properly there. Is it a IDE or SATA drive you're using?
If the drive is unallocated, this means that the partition has been lost after the power went down.
Check out this thread for more ideas on how to solve the issue. There are some detailed steps there that might be useful for you:

    Hope this helped.
