Windows 10: I caanot print from ALL Apps - Can only print from WordPad

Last week, I could print from any app I opened - Word, Excel, Outlook, WordPad, and even an old version of Lotus 123. I was a "happy camper".


I have no idea what happened over the weekend, but now I can only print from WordPad.


All other apps either shut down, or stall when I try to print.


This may not be the right section to ask this question, but I'm sure someone will correct this error.

Wordpad printing

Printing Wordpad documents:

1. Open the File menu and go to Print. WordPad has
   three options for printing documents: Print, Quick print andPrint preview.
2. If you select Print preview from the Print menu, you will get to see how the document will look before you print it. When you are done with the preview of the document, click Close print preview.
3. If you select Print, a new window is displayed, where you can choose the desired printer, page range and specify the number of copies you want to print. When done setting things up, press the Print button.
4. The Quick print option automatically prints the document using your default printer.

Printing from Wordpad

Please to inform that the print preview option show how the documents will be, once they are printed. You can make the changes and preview the documents and then print them.

Please follow these steps.

• To create a new document, open WordPad and write the text you wish.
• For formatting, use the appropriate areas from the ribbon, shown in the previous section of this article.
• When done, to save your document, go to the File menu and choose Save as. There are five options available for saving documents
• Select the format you prefer, provide the location of the file and type its name. When done, press the Save button.
• To open a WordPad document, go to the File menu, and press Open.
• If you want to print a document, open the File menu and go to Print. WordPad has three options for printing documents: Print, Quick print and Print preview.
• If you select Print preview from the Print menu, you will get to see how the document will look before you print it. When you are done with the preview of the document, click Close print preview.
• If you select Print, a new window is displayed, where you can choose the desired printer, page range and specify the number of copies you want to print. When done setting things up, press the Print button.
• The Quick print option automatically prints the document using your default printer.

How to Print a document in WordPad?

We can print a document in WordPad in two ways,

• Open the WordPad document > Click on
  File option in the top left corner of the window > Click on
  Print option and select the printer from the list of printers.
• Right-click on the WordPad document from the saved location
