Windows 10: No StatusBar in Windows Explorer

Hope someone can give the answer to my problem.

It is much more complicated then you would think at first

I spend much time finding a solution on the internet.

I found a few that actually got to the level of my problem - but they all end in something like:

"This guy does not know much about Windows" so lets not spend more time on him...


First have a look at my desktop bel





In the registery: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Currentversion\Explorer\Advanced

ShowStatusBar = 1

In Windows Explorer Folder Options: Show statusbar is checked

As can be seen from the above screendump: The statusbar in the Windows Explorer is NOT visible!

What makes this issue so difficult is the fact that for nearly everyone this is working as one would expect.

For some like me this is not the case. The solution lies far beyond just these two flags.


If you know the solution to this problem then i am sure you make a lot of people happy well... at least me

Windows Explorer Replacement?

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

 

Access Task and Statusbar touchscreen Acer Iconia

Acer Iconia W510 with Windows 10 Home installed (build 14393.2125). Impossible to use the options on the Task en Statusbar (are only accessible using the mouse). Any suggestions?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
