    January 14, 2020—KB4528760 update

The download the update and restarted my pc once I was prompted to do so. But then the pc didn't restart it shutdown. I turned it back on again and I got a BSOD error saying it needed to restart my pc and it was collecting information. Then my computer turned off again. By the third try the pc started and it said it was trying to diagnose and repair the issue...then it showed that the update could not be installed and that it was uninstalling the update. Once I was back into windows and checked the update history it shows the update failed to install and it shows the error 0x800f0845.

    :)

  3. Windows 8 and updates after January 14, 2020

Can I upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8 instead of Windows 10? And if so, will I still be able to get Windows updates and technical support for Windows 8 after January 14, 2020?

    Windows 10 1/14/2020 Update Question

Hello all, I'm updating ASAP because of the whole exploit thing.

    My question is,

How many update programs came with today's patch? I'm checking here so I make sure none of the malicious programs disguised as updates got onto my PC.

    Checking my update history,

I had one update installed on 1/14/2020 before I hit the "check for new updates"

Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.307.2347.0)

When I clicked check for new updates (1/15/2020), I got 4 update programs to install.

Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.307.2384.0)

    2020-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64 (KB4532938)

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - January 2020 (KB890830)

    2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4528760)

Are all of these programs correct for the 1/14/2020 update, or are any of them malicious software that has been disguised? Thank you!
