  1. One Drive and copying files to new computer

My wife has an old computer with several hundred gigabytes of photos on her hard drive/OneDrive.

I'm getting her a new computer. If I manually copy those photos over to the new computer hard drive/OneDrive in an identical location, will OneDrive realize that they are identical to the files already on OneDrive, or will it try to download/upload them all over again. I'm trying to avoid eating up my Internet bandwidth and avoid having the new computer spend days getting OneDrive synchronized with all these files.

    :)

how to copy files from the CD to the Computer drive

    Hi Hankriegler,

I would suggest you to follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X.

    • Click file explorer from the list.

    • Select the CD/DVD drive and hit Enter.

    • Select the files you want to copy from the CD/DVD, then select the drive where you want to paste or save.
I hope the information is helpful.

    Thank you.

  3. Copying files over?

    New problem.

The new drive isn't being identified. *Frown One Drive and copying files to new computer :(

Upon booting and logging it it said it found the new hardware and installed it. So when I go to computer properties and then to devices, it is indeed on the list of storage devices. However in my computer, or in DriveImageXML, it does not appear.

/Disk management solved that. *Smile One Drive and copying files to new computer :)

//Ok so it asked me if I was sure if I wanted to copy because it would destroy all data on the drive it was copying to...I take it that I was suppose to say yes? Because I did...

One Drive and copying files to new computer

    Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
