  1. Windows 10 Snap functionality

I have multiple monitors and a few months back there must have been an update and now dragging windows between the screens has become a hassle. The grab function from the sides of the screens is too strong. I end up having to move the window half way between the screens and then move my mouse to the other screen to finish dragging it. I can't simply drag it straight from one screen to the other thanks to the side of screen grab function for the window snapping. Is there anyway to only disable the side of screen grab... I like window snapping and use the win+direction a lot too so i don't want it disabled completely... just the part where if you're dragging a window to the side of the screen.

    :)

  2. Snap Function will not work in Windows 10

    Hello Amanda,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused and will assist you in resolving the issue.

To snap apps, you need screen resolution of at least 1366 x 768. Make sure that the screen resolution meets these requirements.

    • Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type Settings and select the top most search result.
    • Select System from the window and click on Display.
    • Click on Advanced display settings and check if the resolution is set at
      1920 x 1080 (Recommended).

If the issue persists, I suggest you to run SFC scan and
DISM scan on your PC by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

SFC scan is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. If a
Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected. For example, some Windows functions may not work, or Windows may crash.

Windows corruption errors may prevent Windows updates and service packs from installing. For example, an update might not install if a system file is damaged. The
DISM scan or System Update Readiness tool may help you to fix some Windows corruption errors.

Step 1: Open an Administrator command prompt
    window by

    • Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
      Command Prompt (Admin) option.

    • Click on Yes and continue. Provide administrator password if prompted.

    • Check if it says Administrator: Command Prompt at the top of the command prompt window.

Step 2: Type the following commands in the
    CMD Prompt:

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    sfc /scannow

Step 3: Close the command window and check if the issue is resolved.

Write to us with the status of the issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.

  3. Ahhzz Win User
    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  4. Windows 10 Snap functionality

Snap Function will not work in Windows 10

I have a Toshiba satellite PC. Recently downloaded windows 10. Snap will not work at all in desktop mode. When I drag a window to a corner it does not even attempt to resize or "snap" into place. When in tablet mode, I can get windows to snap side by side
but only side by side. If I drag a window to a corner in tablet mode it will not snap into a corner , it will only snap to the side of the screen, so I will only get two windows, each side by side in tablet mode. Like I said, in desktop mode Snap does not
work at all. In settings I have all snap functions turned on.

    What should I do?

    Looking for some help!
