Windows 10: How to get MSVCR100.dll files to start working on Windows 10?

So I recently got a new laptop, and upgraded it from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10, and so far everything's been working smoothly.


However, I've been trying to download a variety of new games, but they won't boot up. The games I've been downloading one of them is Fighting is Magic are .rar files, which I've extracted so I have the application to open and play. On my old laptop, they've worked smoothly and I had tons of fun. But when I try and open the game or my Dolphin emulator, an error message appears:





I've read that antivirus software can change the location I have avast on my new and old laptop or name of the msvcr, but I don't know. I've downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package x64, which didn't help. I downloaded my .NET Framework 4, but it's up to date. i've made sure the file is exceptioned to my antivirus software, but I don't know what else to do.


How do I find the MSCVR100.dll file? How can I fix this issue? What should I be doing?

msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll in C:\

Hello back TPU!

Yesterday I saw two files(msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll) in my C:\ disk folder. What does this mean? I know this two files should be in C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 or somewhere in C:\Windows but not in main disk folder. I deleted this files but files appeared again today. Is this a virus or maybe an application? How can I check this?

msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll in C:\

they are microsoft visual studio files, leave em alone.

 

MSVCR100.dll is missing on Windows 10

If you upgraded your Windows from 8.1 to 10, it should exist a folder in C:\ named "Windows.old". Inside of it, it should exist two folders:

• System32
• SysWOW64

I found MSVCP100.dll and MSVCR100.dll in them. Copying these DLL's to the respective folders made all the affected programs work again.
