Windows 10: Windows 10 Nov19 installation stuck at 16% 2nd step

Dear all,


I'm looking for your kind help in installing my windows 10 Nov 19 update from scratch.


My computer is a notebook Acer Aspire S7 bought around 2014 with 256 SSD disk, cpu and gpi on-board from Intel and 4gb ram.


The reason why I decided to move for a fresh start is that my windows was freezing unexpected from time to time. Therefore I thought that a clean install would might solve the problem.


The following steps were taken:


1 used Microsoft media software to flash an USB Sony 64gb.

2 booted using the USB had to change my bios from uefi to legacy, otherwise it wouldn't work , chose to do a clean install over the C drive.

3 got stuck at 16% in the second step.

4 Thought I had a problem with the usb, didn't have any other option than installing Linux.

5 installed Ubuntu, worked fine, downloaded new iso Nov 19, flashed using exfat due to the size of 4.3gb and bootable under mbr. I used woeusb which is similar to Rufus for windows.

6 booted, erased all partition, created a new one and got stuck again at 16% in the second step. This time I left the computer working for over 10 hours.


Any insight or idea would be much appreciated.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Ok, there is a gigantic thread going on with this that has been extremely helpful. However, you have to search the entire thread to actually figure out what to do. So, I'm going to list step by step instructions right here for anyone who needs them.



Step 1: Download the attachment
Step 2: Follow the instructions about checking your fuses
Step 3: Dump your bios with ATItool (Settings -> Miscellaneous -> dump bios)
Step 4: Open your current BIOS with RaBit 1.7 or later and go to "Logging" section scroll down and search for:
Desc: RADEON X800 GTO
Info: 11X-CC6600SA-004, CC6600SA.004, 01/20/05,14:19:32
Step 5: If all checks out, simply burn the iso, boot from it, and flash!
