Discus and support Windows 10 keeps on blocking a game app to create a new file/folder in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have made sure the related app's .exe file has been white-listed on the ransomware protection list.     Windows 10 keeps on blocking a game app to create a new file/folder


    I have made sure the related app's .exe file has been white-listed on the ransomware protection list. This doesn't work and every time I load the game and/or want to make a new profile in the game, Windows always gives me a prompt telling me that it cannot make a temporary copy of a .lbs file. The prompt tells me the directory of the file and I can't even find in my computer it's something like C:\Users\UserProfileName\Documents\GamePublisher\GameName\PlayerProfiles\ProfileName\InventorySettings.lbs.tmp

    Any idea how to resolve this problem?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    we suggest that you try creating a new folder using a keyboard shortcut or from File Explorer. Please refer to the steps below:

    Creating a new folder using a keyboard shortcut.

    • Click on the desktop.
    • Press CTRL + SHIFT + N.
    • A new folder should be created.

    Creating a new folder from File Explorer.

    • Open File Explorer.
    • Hover your mouse on the location where you want to create a new folder.
    • Right-click it, go to New > Folder.

    As the scans were not able to find any corrupted system files, we recommend that you try creating a new folder through
    File Explorer. To do this, kindly follow the steps below.

    • Press Windows key and type "file explorer" to open File Explorer.
    • Click Desktop.
    • Under the Home tab, select the New folder option.
    • Create a name for your folder.

    Let us know if you were able to create a new folder by following the steps provided.
