My computer was slow these past few days, and after a lot of troubleshooting with windows, nvidia and what not, it turns out that my MB has a slow mode switch... that's apparently broken or something, ant it turns on by itself, capping my processor and therefore slowing my whole computer down to around 20-30% capacity.

The only "fix" I saw for this is to disable intel thermal monitor on the BIOS, but I already did it without any luck. Does any of you know how to override that damn switch so it doesn't affect my computer, or how to physically fix it so it doesn't turn on by itself?

Well, the switch remains in OFF, but the led lights itself as if it was ON. Restarting it results in the led turning off, and then flickering itself back to life. Damn bastard.

    Any ideas?
