How/where can I check for information about a Security Update? Windows 10

I'm having lots and lots of problems at the moment - see my post today in the Bugs & Platform Errors Jan 2020 thread here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-dee2-4cbd-8914-10e1cfdaa837?tm=1577967633224

I'm probably clutching at straw straws but I'm desperate to find out if the below emailed Microsoft Security Update Releases message is relevant to my problem.

How/where do I find out please? TIA

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/defer-upgrades-in-windows-10

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.

Windows 7 Ultimate (64) Security updates not installing.

I have been having problems in installing the updates that I have listed below. For each update I attempted to install them individually but they would not install. I also downloaded the SURT 6.1 KB947821 v27. The problem has been going on now for about 2 months. (whenever the issue with the updates comes to mind I am never near my pc). Thank you in advance.
