  1. My administrative password is right, but startup repair says it's wrong

    Hi,

A couple days ago, I updated my laptop by automatic online updates, and after that the startup screen where I enter my login information went dark, so I can't enter to my windows 10.

I proceeded to the boot section where I chose the advanced options for repair. All the options ask for my adminstrative acount's password. I entered the correct password, but it kept saying it's wrong. Using my cellphone I changed my microsoft password and entered the new password several times running the boot, still it insists it's a wrong password!

I read lots of articles and troubleshooting advices, but none is working. I just want to enter to my Windows and I don't understand why it doesn't recognize the right password.

Could you please help me? Thank you.

    Nice regards,

    Hannaneh

    :)

    Boot into Windows as administrator

You set up the admin password when installing XP, but most the time people believe it is for their individual account and not the Administrator one. As for Vista, like stated before, the initial account created is an administrator account, and if necessary, you may need to right click certain programs to "Run as Administrator"

You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    Startup repair incorrect password

I hadnt used my laptop for a couple weeks. When i started it today my normal 4 digit passcode did not work and then said to contact an administrator. When I restarted it got stuck at “just a moment” so i restarted 3 times until i got recovery options. I
tried system restore and startup repair BUT the problem is it keeps saying I am entering the wrong password. So i signed into my microsoft account on a different device and got in fine but my laptop keeps saying incorrect password. The last time i used the
laptop it performed updates and shut down. What do I do?
