Windows 10: Stuck at login screen

Hi all.


Windows 10 question. aI had power outage today. When I turned my PC back on I was able to log in fine using my PIN which is how I normally log in, but my mouse wasn't working properly. It lit up, the cursor moved, but no clicks were registering. I turned the PC off and back on and got to the login screen. It says, "Something happened and your PIN isn't available. Click to set up your PIN again." Clicking "Set up my PIN" shows a 'thinking' icon and does nothing, goes right back to set up PIN. I click to enter a password instead. I enter my password and it says it's incorrect. I changed it via the MS site and tried again, same result. So I know the password is correct. Mouse still isn't working properly and now I can't even get in. I can access the on screen keyboard, but I can't click on it since the mouse is having issues. I switched USB ports, I switched mice. I have no admin account. Any ideas?

As said in the title, my windows 10 is stuck at the login screen

Couldn't Hold shift and Restart because for some reason i don't have the shutdown button

It's nearly impossible to interact with the login screen, mouse moves but things don't get highlighted and no matter what you write it hever shows up.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

I understand that you are unable to get the login page properly to login. We will help you.

• Were you able to login in Safe mode?

I suggest you to Enable the Hidden Admin account and
create a new user account and check if the issue persists.

If you can't open Settings, get to startup options from the sign-in screen:

• 
  On the sign-in screen, hold the Shift key down
  while you select Power > Restart
  (in the lower-right corner of the screen).
  
• 
  After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select
  Troubleshoot > Advanced options.
  
• 
  Select Command Prompt.
  
• 
  Click on Command Prompt, type the command and click
  enter.
  
  • 
    net user Administrator /active:yes
    (there is SPACE after Administrator)
    

Restart the computer to login to admin account
and then create new user account and check.
