  1. Proxy keeps changing back to 127.0.0.1:9666

    Hello, Support.

After upgrading to Win10 1909, proxy keeps changing itself to 127.0.0.1:9666 automatically no matter how many times I remove it. This causes some software like Steam and Origin to lose connection even if Windows is set to not use the proxy while 127.0.0.1:9666 is set and grayed out.

This proxy is the same of an anonymity software called UltraSurf I use from time to time. This problem never happened with me before the upgrade. I could have done something that caused this from my side. I'm not blaming Win10 1909 for it. The proxy keeps coming even if I don't use UltraSurf.

Please advise with a way to completely remove this auto change or if there's a way to fix the proxy to always stay blanc.

    :)

    Edge keeps changing ChangeUnitGenerationNeeded "0"

My favorites stopped syncing so I read the Tutorial How to Turn On or Off Sync Favorites and Reading List in Microsoft Edge in Windows 10.

I ran the reg file to turn on syncing. Gave it time but nothing happened. So I went into the registry and found that ChangeUnitGenerationNeeded was set to "0". Changed it manually to "1". Launched Edge. Went back into registry and found ChangeUnitGenerationNeeded reset to "0". Went through this a number of times using the reg file and/or manual change.

Every time I launch Edge the entry is reset to "0".

    Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks

Resize and rearrange desktop icons with ctrl+shift+(1-0)

To change your desktop icons from vertical to horizontal, follow the steps below:

    • Right-click on your desktop.
    • Select small icons.

Once done, try to change again the size and display of your desktop icons using the
Ctrl+shift+(1-0) mode and check if the same issue persists.

Let us know how it goes.
