Windows 10: Need help, Windows gets stuck before the login screen and cycles [Forwarded from r/windows]

So I haven’t had any issues with my pc at all since today, when it randomly occurred. I booted up my pc, everything was normal but then the instant the login screen loaded it just kept on cycling at that point. Initially I had a blue login screen(before the login background shows)with the time and “shut off” option there too, but it cycles too quick for you to move the mouse or even do anything. I did a hard shut down and turned it on again and now I don’t get a blue screen but rather just a black one but I can still see the mouse stuck in a cycle. I was able to get it to windows recovery environment but no matter what I tried I still came up with the same result. I tried a system restore, tried entering safe mode, and a system restart(keeping files) but still came up with the same windows login cycle. I also tried following some videos about fixing a windows loop in command prompt but I got stuck midway and couldn’t continue. I truly have no clue how this has happened and I’ve had no problems before this. Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 10 Stuck at login screen


As said in the title, my windows 10 is stuck at the login screen

Couldn't Hold shift and Restart because for some reason i don't have the shutdown button

It's nearly impossible to interact with the login screen, mouse moves but things don't get highlighted and no matter what you write it hever shows up.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Task Switcher randomly gets stuck cycling windows


Good morning!

I am having an issue with the Task Switcher (see image below) activating on its own. It then begins to cycle through the open tasks very rapidly. When this happens I am unable to actually select any of the tasks, nor can I close them out. Windows is essentially frozen at this point and I have to restart.

A few things to note:

• I am running Windows 10 Pro.
• This happens randomly, sometimes weeks between an incident.
• Sometimes it happens while I am not even working at the computer. I've noticed it after returning to my desk.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
