    Dell Latitude 5401 - Earphone jack intermittently working


    Hi there,


    I have a Dell Latitude 5401 that's earphone jack intermittently working. I plugged earphone in and the laptop picks up on the earphones but when I plug them out and back in, the laptop doesn't recognise them again. The system board has been replaced twice, but jack is still only works the odd time. I have updated the bios and removed the audio drivers completely and updated them.


    any help would be greatly appreciated

    earphone jack not working

    Hi. My earphones was working fine before I connected a Bluetooth headset to my laptop. After trying the headset and disconnected it, now no sound is coming out of my earphones. Tried other earphones (all works w/ my mobile phone), no luck. Tried unplug/replug
    the 3.5 mm jack, also tried Windows Update (check for updates), no luck. Laptop speakers work fine when I unplug the earphone cable. Any help?

    Since downloading windows 10 my earphone jack on the front of my laptop not working.

    Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it.
