  1. Clean load of W10 PRO from purchased stick?

Quite a while ago I purchased Windows 8.1 prior to Windows 10 release. So when Microsoft up graded me to 10 they made it 10 pro. I have been using that since. One day I noticed the fans in my table top A Asus gamers with an Intel core 5 -32GHZ CPU were running 100%. They were not idling when nothing was going on. I ran Task Master and found that my CPU was being used 100%. I ran the ‘scannow” command and it said there were files it could not fix. I worked very hard to find out why and finally gave up.. I purchased a stick with 10 pro and used it to fix my computer. I ran the ‘scannow’ command and everything was fine. So I ran Task Manager and it still said the CPU was running 100 percent. I tried to determine what was running. I used ‘Procmon’ and Tweaking’ and all I am able to determine is that it’s Windows that is running full steam. Although Windows is running at 100% it is still running any of my programs as if everything was ok. In other words none of my programs are running slowly. This makes no sense to me, so I purchased a new hard drive and wanted to start over. Load the 10 pro I purchased and reinstall my programs. I am thinking that will take care of the issue. But the stick I purchased won’t let me load it. It keeps saying it needs drivers? I don’t want to bring anything directly from what I have. Everything MUST be loaded anew. And I can’t seem to be able to do that. How can I load a new drive with the stick I have and not have to purchase a new stick?

    :)

Advice Please on Clean Install of W10

Hello All, my first forum post.
The time is fast approaching when I will upgrade from W7 to W10.
My W7 Pro is a legitimate copy.
I want to do a clean instal rather than the 'upgrade.
Currently I have 3 SSDs - SSD1 is W7 OS only, the remaining 2 SSDs contain various personal files.
I would be keen to install W10 on SSD1 and totally replace W7 ie no dual boot.
I understand of course that I will need to purchase W10 key etc.
Could someone please help with what the best way is to do this and if possible list the detailed steps involved - although I am sure somewhere in the forum this has been addressed before I cant find exactly what I need.
    Thanks,

Query on Clean installation of Windows 10 Pro on Windows 7 Pro PC.

Original Title: Windows 7 Pro (from MS upgrade key) to Windows 10 Pro - Clean Install

My Gateway NV7923U X64 came with Windows 7 Home installed.

I purchased an upgrade key from MS and upgraded to Windows 7 Pro.

I need to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and then do a clean install.

    • Will my existing upgraded Windows 7 Pro now upgrade to Windows 10 Pro automatically, or do I need to perform additional steps?
    • Will I be able to do a clean install and have Windows 10 Pro after upgrading?

  4. Clean load of W10 PRO from purchased stick?

Reactivate W10 Pro Purchased as an upgrade

I purchased a new Dell laptop in June 2019. It came with Windows 10 Home, and I purchased a Pro license through the Windows Store on June 16, 2019. Then, my laptop crapped out last month and I had to return it to Dell. Dell didn't have the replacement
part and sent me a different laptop - along with the drive from my original laptop. I used Showkey Plus to retrieve the W10 Pro license key from that drive. So I have the W10 Pro product key that I purchased three months ago.

If Windows 10 activation is tied to the hardware, and my hardware has changed, how to I recoup my $99.00 expense on this laptop?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
